"I founded out-sider a / s in the autumn of 2006 with a desire to challenge the industry with some new ideas. Rethink urban space is the starting point for out-side, through wich I collaborate with Danish designers to create outdoor design icons.
As the first in the industry we integrate technology into urban elements. This symbiosis provides a surprising experience with both design, function and economic benefits.

The collection is composed of new Danish designed products and selected products from some of the best European manufacturers of street furniture. All with a high level of design and quality. The target group in Scandinavia is B2B decision makers within the urban space and landscape.

In many ways employees in out-sider share the same values. We have courage and heart, the sky is the limit, we are motivated by challenges, and strive for positive experiences.

After approx. 5 years of existence the team now consist of 4 dedicated people. We aim to grow but not necessarily to become a big organization - we want to focus on the core business and otherwise integrate external services.

We surround ourselves with active, positive people - and we will work with people and partners who we trust and respect.

Ib Mogensen has a background as development and marketing director at Louis Poulsen Lighting, as development director at Thorn & Jacobsson and product developer at Bang & Olufsen.

Ib has an obvious passion for design, lighting and innovation. In his sparetime Ib enjoys entering the boxing ring for a couple of rounds.

Rasmus H. Nielsen is responsible for visualizations and technical construction and design in 2D and 3D.

Rasmus is educated as an industial designer from the Aarhus School of Architecture. Previously Rasmus has been employed at the design studios Design Nord (dngroup) and Made By Makers.
Rasmus has accumulated a great experience within product, graphic, and web design.

Rasmus appreciates challenges and in his sparetime he is an active soccer and floorball player.

Our suppliers
We have chosen not to have our own production but as the only one within street furniture in Denmark we have a very selective and focused range of products from a small number of the best European manufacturers. We get our Danish designed products delivered via a Danish manufacturer of quality, who has many years of success as a producer for the contract market.
Our foreign suppliers are situated in strong design nations as Spain, France, Belgium and Austria which all have great traditions in outdoor culture and products for outdoor use.

Our customers
We consider architects, landscape architects, landscapers, contractors shall, developers, municipalities, government, housing associations etc. as our primary customers. And we know that our best partners are those who can identify with our values and challenges.

Our designers
The first collection of new Danish designed products come from a group of Danish designers and architects, all of which have successfully worked with architectural, urban space, furniture, lighting and other consumer products. A mix of experienced and upcoming designers whom all strive with enthusiasm and passion to give new experiences - and hopefully become designers of new upcoming design icons in outdoor furniture.
